Kolkata: Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal are most likely to join Indain Super League next season. While the countdown to the deadline for restructuring the league has put the AIFF under pressure, the Kolkata clubs are no less worried either.
While East Bengal after all the hard work, have finally found a corporate backing in the form of Quess, Mohun Bagan are yet to have one to realize their dreams of making it to the elite top flight of Indian football.
But the good news for the fans of Mohun Bagan is that the club is in advanced talks with ATK and are likely to join hands to carry the venture in ISL together.
The Sanjiv Goenka owned club can be a massive turnaround for Mohun Bagan as they are one of the biggest spenders in the Indian Super League.
