India under 16 football team set to participate in three-nation tournament.

Dubai: India under 16 football team is all set to participate in a three-nation tournament that is set to take place in the United Arab Emirates starting January 8th. Apart from the hosts United Arab Emirates and India, Saudi Arabia is also set to participate in this tournament.
Odisha-born Suvendu Panda who led India tonthe South Asian Football Federation(SAFF) U-15 tournament will lead the team again. The squad travelling to the United Arab Emirates is the same that participated in the tournament last year. Apart from this, India will also play another friendly with the UAE and also will face some local clubs.
India will face the hosts UAE on January 8 and Saudi Arabia on January 12. India will again face the UAE on January 15 in a friendly match. The performance of the team in this tournament will be a key factor in deciding the future of the players in the squad as this side had a dismal outing at the SAFF U-15 tournament.
