BREAKING: Neymar angling towards Messi and Suarez reunion
by Chirag R Bhattad
Paris: Brazil star Neymar Jr. is ready to move back to FC Barcelona, after intense reports have been fueling the move back to Camp Nou. Reports first emerged when it was leaked that Lionel Messi would prefer Neymar back at FC Barcelona over Antoine Griezmann joining the club from Atletico Madrid.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have been on really good terms with Neymar even after he left Barcelona, with the MSN trio even sharing an intimate whatsApp group. Ever since the above was reported, Nasser Al Khelaifi has come out and took a veiled dig at Neymar, saying that superstars with diva behaviour will be shown the door.
Since then reports have emerged that Neymar is so disgusted with his time at PSG that he does not want to play ever again. This has only intensified what has widely been reported as Neymar angling his way out of PSG.
Now, further reports have leaked the text messages sent by Neymar to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, with the former Brazil captain saying ‘Stay calm, I’m coming!’ In their group. This could only point to one thing, Neymar abandoning the PSG project and jumping ship to re-join his old stomping ground, FC Barcelona.
Neymar was an absolute star at Barcelona, playing a starring role in their 6-2 comeback routing of PSG in the Champions League. Overall, his best years as a footballer came at the Camp Nou, with Neymar scoring 90 goals in his 3 years at the club. He was a regular alongside Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi and a star sharing the spotlight with the Argentinian genius.
Since moving on, Neymar has failed to recreate the same spark, with disappointing injuries at crucial stages curtailing his progress and derailing the PSG project. After his recent long-term injury and spat with a fan, Neymar has been disillusioned by life at PSG and has been making a lot of noise to move away from the club.
With Lionel Messi in his corner, he has a big ally waiting for him with open arms at the Camp Nou. With Al Khelaifi’s stance, it is clear that PSG are willing to sell the player. Now the onus is on Josep Maria Bartomeu and his willingness to bring a potential hot-wire back to Catalonia.
