Ndombele to Spurs, Sensi to Inter, Zapata to Genoa - Confirmed transfers from July 2nd.

518 days. That’s how long it has been since Lucas Moura signed for Tottenham Hotspurs. In that 18 months, Spurs have gone two transfer windows without signing a player, moved to a new home, reached the UCL finals and a car has bee sent to space. And just like MTC buses, when one comes, another follows.
Tottenham Hotspurs confirmed two big signings on Tuesday, with Jack Clarke signing from Leeds United in a reported £10 million deal and going back to Leeds United immediately on a one-year loan deal. Clarke is an 18-year old attacking-winger, with the York-man enjoying a breakout seasons at Leeds United last season.
Clarke scored twice and assisted a further two more in 24 games last season, most of which were off the bench. The other signing, the bigger one, was the arrival of one Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyonnais. Ndombele arrived at Spurs for a club-record £65 million deal, signing a 5-year contract.
Ndombele has long been linked with a move to PSG, Man City, FC Bayern Munich and Man Utd in the recent weeks, but has chosen the project spearheaded by Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspurs. Ndombele had more assists (7) last season than Mesut Ozil and Wilfried Zaha, combined, in 49 games.
Ndombele averaged 1.9 tackles per game, sprayed 1.4 key passes per game, attempted 1.8 successful dribbles per game and was fouled 2 times per game. His numbers are huge, although the sample set is just for one full season. Ndombele will not be the guy who gets noticed by numbers and goals, but he will be one of the most important player on the pitch for Spurs.
Elsewhere, Pablo Sarabia, Sevilla best player from last season, joined PSG in a cut-price £16 million deal. Sarabia was in imperious form last season, scoring 23 times and assisting a further 17 in a blockbuster season. The attacking midfielder was a crucial part of Sevilla, with the team built around him and serving him.
The 27-year old joins a whole host of talents in Julian Draxler, Angel di Maria, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani at the French capital club. In Serie A, Stefano Sensi finally completed his much awaited move from Sassuolo to Inter Milan. The young and talented midfielder was a key player for Sassuolo in the middle of the park, with the Italian midfielder averaging 90% passing accuracy and 1.9 key passes per game.
The 23-year old had agreed terms with both the Milan clubs but he had his heart set on a move to work under Antonio Conte. The transfer of Sensi would be a big blow to AC Milan and Inter have signed a potential superstar, one will boss their midfield for years to come.
Meanwhile, AC Milan veteran Cristian Zapata has signed for Genoa on a free transfer after his contract expired on 1st of July. The Colombian was at Milan for 7 seasons, with his reign at the club unfortunately coinciding with Milan’s regression. Gunners fans also had something to cheer about on Tuesday, with Brazilian teen sensation Gabriel Martinelli singing a long-term contract with the club.
It was an incredibly busy day of transfers yesterday, but with potential Griezmann announcement, Nicolo Barella situation needing sorting out and Rodri inching closer to Man City, expect big announcements today as well.
