Ankara: India U-19 football team defeated Oman U-19 by 1-0 here on Monday.
Rohit Danu's 83rd-minute goal was the sole difference between the two sides as the Blue Tigers avenge their previous loss to the same side by 2-1.
India started off in a dominant fashion in the game, holding the possession in their own half and trying to penetrate into the opposition defence to no avail.
Ninthoi caused problems to the opposition defence with his skill. However, the team could not break the deadlock till the halftime.
After the halfway point, the team continued to play in a similar fashion but Oman tried to show more aggression in Indian final third. However, Indian defence kept cool as they managed to thwart off any threat to the goal.
India kept knocking at the door till they finally managed to score at the 83rd minute when Rohit Danu found the back of the net, giving Floyd Pinto-led side their first win on the tour.
