City Football Group set to announce Mumbai City FC acquisition next week

Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Mumbai City FC is all set to be acquired by the City Football Group (CFG),
the owners of thePremier League club Manchester City FC.
The CFG, who own a range of clubs that includes Manchester City (England), New York City FC (US),
Melbourne City (Australia), Club Atletico Torque (Uruguay), Sichuan Jiuniu (China) and also hold stakes
in Girona (Spain) and Yokohama F Marinos (Japan), held negotiations with several Indian clubs before
finally zeroing down on Mumbai-based outfit.
According to British media, the negotiations of the CFG with the club's CEO Indranil Das Blah are almost
complete and the announcement is set to be made very soon.
With this acquisition, there will occur a sea of changes at the club's organizational level as the new
owners are set to hire new high profile officials at important positions.
