AIFF set to host a four-nations women's tournament

Cuttack: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is looking forward to host a four-nations women's tournament in Cuttack, if reports are to be believed. The Central Government has earmarked a hefty fund for the Indian women's football, which for the first time in the history has managed to qualify to the second round of the Olympic qualifiers.

With the fund received from the government, the AIFF is all set to chart out a long schedule for the Blue Tigresses, in which the team will continue playing together as a team against some strong opponents till April, when the second round of the qualifications begin. The team has already started it's camp at Cuttack under the watchful eyes of head coach Maymol Rocky.

The second round of the qualifications is slated to take place between 1-9 April this year and the team is all set to play more than a dozen international games before the tournament for the qualifications to 2020 Tokyo Olympics begins.
