Manchester: report from Football Insider point towards a breakthrough in negotiations between Man Utd and Crystal Palace for the transfer of England U21 star Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Man Utd have made progress with an offer of £40 million pounds with £15 million pounds in add-ons and bonuses.
Crystal Palace have been holding out for a £55 million pound deal and Manchester United have now found a way to assure them that their figure will be respected. Wan-Bissaka had already agreed Personal-terms with Man Utd long-back and the deal had been hinging on them reaching an agreement with Crystal Palace.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka proved himself to be one of the best right-back in the league. He joined Crystal Palace at the age of 11 and graduated through their academy to make his way into the first team. In his debut season, Wan-Bissaka was used sparingly, but a string of impressive performances and a Player of the Month accolade in March of 2018 cemented his position in the first team.
The 21 year old played 35 times in the Premier League this season, with the three missed games being a result of a red card received during Palace’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool. Wan-Bissaka won the Crystal Palace player of the month 4 times this season, including a hat-trick from August to October. In all, Wan-Bissaka has made 46 appearances for Crystal Palace, making a quick step-up from Palace to United.
With England out of the UEFA Euros U21 already, Wan-Bissaka will travel to Manchester later this week to complete his medical and sign the contract. He will join another youngster in Wales International and 21-year old Daniel James through the gate at Manchester as the former Swansea City winger sealed an £18 million pound switch to the Old Trafford.
