Igor Stimac releases six players from the Indian camp

 

            Igor Stimac has trimmed his squad down to 31 players after releasing six players from the current 37 man squad. The players that have been released are Bikramjit Singh, Germanpreet Singh, Nandha Kumar, Redeem Tlang, Sumeet Passi and Vishal Kaith.

 

            Stimac had named four goalkeepers in the squad and has thus moved to reduce the number to three, with Vishal Kaith losing out to Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh and Kamaljit Singh. Meanwhile, Stimac had named a huge total of 18 midfielders for the camp and has thus trimmed the number down to 14.

 

            Sumeet Passi is the only striker removed from the squad, with Manvir Singh and Farukh Choudhary keeping their place in the team. The current 31-man squad after the trim down is as follows:
