ISL 2018-19: Northeast United sign up Greece Super League attacker
Guwahati: Eelco Schhatorie-led Northeast United have confirmed the signing of Greece Super League forward Panagiotis Triadis. The 26-year old forward, who also plays as an attacking midfielder, was last playing for Apollon Smyrnis in the Greek top tier.
Triadis, who came up through the ranks of Eintracht Frankfurt academy has represented Germany at U15, U16 and U17 levels, before going on to play for Greece U19 side. He had been playing in the Greek top tier since 2012, having first joined Xanthi FC and then later went on to join Apollon last season.
The Greek is set to replace Ghanian midfielder Augustine Okrah, who was injured and only managed to make four appearances at the Guwahati-based club. Northeast United will return in action on January 26th when they will host defending champions Chemnaiyin FC. The team is currently at 4th position in the league table, having accumulated 20 points so far.
