Real Madrid have announced their new head coach


            Real Madrid have officially announced their new Head Coach to be none other than the current Spain boss. Julen Lopetegui will be already teaming up with Real Madrid stars Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernandez, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vasquez in the National team camp, while he will go head to head with Cristiano Ronaldo in the group stages.


            This is what the official announcement said regarding the appointment:

"Julen Lopetegui will be the Real Madrid coach after the celebration of the 2018 World Cup.

Real Madrid C. F. announce that Julen Lopetegui will be the coach of the first team during the next three seasons.

Julen Lopetegui will join the club after Spain’s participation in the World Cup, after two years leading the national team."


            Lopetegui has previous experience with Real Madrid, having been the manager of their youth team in 2008. He also took charge of FC Porto for two years before jumping into the Spanish national setup. Lopetegui will have some big decisions to make post the World Cup, with the fututres of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benema all in doubts, along with the integration of young and extremely talented players like Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos into the first team, players he has experience with.
