The 25 year old Argentine forward has been subjected to lot of transfer speculation, particularly from English clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham, apart from other clubs. Dubbed as ‘New Sergio Aguero’, he joined Juventus in 2015 from Palermo, after attracting interest from Barcelona and Manchester City, on a deal worth €32 Million plus €8 Million in add ons. The moment he arrived at Old Lady, he became a star by being the top scorer for Juventus in his 1st year at the club. However, last season was a season to forget for ‘LA JOYA’, scoring just 10 goals in 42 appearances. Moreover, news of then Juventus GJmanager Massimilano Allegri giving Cristiano Ronaldo preference over Paulo Dybala, have fueled those exit rumours. Rivals Napoli and Inter have already expressed interest but the deal that grabbed worldwide attention was him ending up at Manchester United under a swap deal, witnessing Romelu Lukaku to end up at Old Lady. The club have approved the idea of Romelu Lukaku spearheading the attack and not Dybala. United, on the other hand, had a share of ‘lady luck smiling’ with Dybala, being a massive upgrade on Belgian stiker. Everything was agreed between both the clubs. However, the player have rejected to join United owing to its Europa League status. His refusal to leave along with his agent high commission demands have scuppered the deal. However, Romelu Lukaku sealed a move abroad to another Italian club INTER MILAN on €75 Million deal.
However, on deadline day, Paulo Dybala was being heavily linked to make a move to another PL Club – London based Tottenham Hotspurs. Tottenham have seen probably one of their best transfer windows with securing signings of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon. Spurs could have used Dybala as the striking partner to Harry Kane creating havoc on the field. However, it was reported that the deal didn’t go through due to Spurs unable to secure Dybala’s Image rights. Juventus have currently taken Paulo Dybala off the market but are still open for offers from other foreign clubs. It was being reported that Inter Milan have expressed an interest in signing Dybala in a swap deal with outcast Mauro Icardi going on the other side, but Juventus have rejected the offer. Dybala have 2 years left on the contract and hope that this season would bring him back in top scoring sheet for Juventus.
