Dubai: Hosts United Arab Emirates managed to hold visitors India for a draw as the scoreline read 3-3 at the blow of the full time whistle. Shuvendu Panda-coached India U-16 drew the first blood as they scored from a penalty in the first half. However hosts managed to equalise through another penalty awarded in the first half itself, conceded by India.
The second half saw the Blue tigers manage to find a lead again but the team suffered a setback as Indian goalie was sent off. India scored once again from a brilliant freekick and earned a two goal cushion. The hosts later earned a penalty but Indian goalkeeper managed to save it.
But the hosts continued to attack and found two late goals, the equalizer coming in the extra time as they found some relief. Nevertheless,India had a decent game and will look forward to the next game, which is against Saudi Arabia on 12th January.
