World Cup Qualifiers: Stimac names 35-man probables squad

 

New Delhi: Indian national football team head coach has announced 35-man probables squad for the
World Cup 2022 & Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers first two matches against Oman and Qatar respectively.


            The players will attend the national team camp in Goa from August 19.


            Halicharan Narzary makes his comeback to the squad while 3 Indian Arrows players: Amarjit, Narender and Anwar Ali have been called up. The list of 35 probables stay as follows:

 

GOALKEEPERS: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, Kamaljit Singh, Vishal Kaith.

 

DEFENDERS: Rahul Bheke, Nishu Kumar, Pritam Kotal, Anas Edathodika, Sandesh Jhingan, Anwar Ali (Jr.), Narender Gahlot, Sarthak Golui, Adil Khan, Salam Ranjan Singh, Subhasish Bose, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Mandar Rao Dessai.

 

MIDFIELDERS: Nikhil Poojary, Udanta Singh, Anirudh Thapa, Raynier Fernandes, Vinit Rai, Sahal Abdul Samad, Amarjit Singh, Pronay Halder, Rowllin Borges, Brandon Fernandes, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Halicharan Narzary, Ashique Kuruniyan.

 

FORWARDS: Balwant Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Jobby Justin, Farukh Choudhary, Manvir Singh.

 

            India will begin their qualifiers campaign against Oman on September 5 in Guwahati while they will play Asian Champions Qatar away at Doha on September 10.
